Property Tax Search

Summary

This option allows you to search for an existing property tax record.  The search may be conducted by Receipt Number, Receipt Number - Range, Name, Property Address, Parcel, Deed, Plat, or Account Number.  To conduct the search select the search option from the View drop down menu and fill in as much of the required criteria as desired to narrow the search.  The following instructions will demonstrate how to conduct a search by name.

  1. Select Name from the View drop down menu.  As mentioned in the summary the following instructions demonstrate how to conduct a search by name, however, you may also search by Receipt Number, Receipt Number - Range, Property Address, Parcel, Deed, Plat, or Account Number.

  2. Enter the name you wish to search for in the Name field.  This field is not case sensitive.  The system will return all records where the name appears anywhere within the name field, which means that it will return all records where the name is in the first, middle or last name.

  3. Select the Tax Year from the drop down menu. This field can be set to All to search all fiscal years.

  4. Select the New Owner option as desired.  You may select to Include new owners, Exclude new owners, or to display Only new owners.  Selecting the only option will search the new owner filed and ignore all other name fields.

  5. Select the Taxes/Fees option from the drop down menu.  Available choices include All, Paid taxes, Unpaid taxes, and Credit.

  6. Select the Exact Match option from the drop down menu if desired.  Note: If this option is selected the system will only return records where the name matches exactly.   If this option is not selected the system will return results where the name appears anywhere within any of the name fields.

  7. The Descending Year Order option is marked by default.  With this selected the records will be displayed in descending year order.  Remove the check mark to display the search results in ascending year order.

  8. Click the Find button to display all of the accounts that match your selections in the Search Results portion of the screen.  Depending on your selections you may have more than one page of results to display.  The Search Results Title Bar will indicate the number of pages available.

    • You may sort the search results by the column heading of your choice, Name, Tax Year, Receipt Number, Property Address, Mailing Address, City, State, Zip Code, or by whether the Taxes/Fees Owed.  To change the sort order click on the column heading in the Title Bar.  Clicking the same column heading will reverse the sort order.

  1. Double click on any of the search results records available to view the details for that record.
